Pianist David Palmer has performed throughout the United States, Europe and South America since the early 1990’s, both as soloist and chamber musician. In the United States, he has given performances in New York City, Houston, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, St. Louis, Seattle, Vancouver, Tulsa, Oklahoma City and throughout the High Plains region and in Colorado.  Palmer has also performed at summer festivals including Interlochen School for the Arts, the Aspen Music Festival, the Bellingham Festival of Music and the Eastern Music Festival to name a few.  Palmer is the Artistic Director and founder of Chamber Music Amarillo, a 24 year old organization in Amarillo, Texas and served as founder and Artistic Director of the Quartz Mountain Music Festival in Oklahoma from 2006-2011.  Celebrating its upcoming 24th season, Chamber Music Amarillo has recently merged with the Amarillo Symphony. This important opportunity brings a new era in CMA’s history as the symphony becomes the steward of this unique and special brand providing the opportunity for future generations to continue to hear the great art of chamber music and chamber orchestra.  From his work with many nationally ranked arts organizations, David has gained an extensive knowledge on managing and performing in the musical arts working with such artists as the Itzhak Perlman, Garrick Ohlsson, Robert McDuffie, Janos Starker, Michelle Kim, Pepe Romero, Romero Guitar Quartet, the Arianna String Quartet, Compi String Quartet, Harrington String Quartet, Heidi Grant Murphy, Montreal Symphony Orchestra Concert Master Richard Roberts, Mary Jane Johnson, Jazz musicians Bevan Manson, Lee Rucker, Kent Kidwell, Mark Little, Jamie Davis, Nashville producer Darrell Bledsoe, composers John Boyle, Kenji Bunch, Mike Garson and John Harbison and songwriters Nina Garcia, Mike Fuller and JD Souther to name a few.  David has recorded works of Ravel for violin and piano for the Centaur label with longtime friend and collaborator, violinist Annie Chalex Boyle following a tour of concerts throughout North America, including Atlanta, St. Louis and Vancouver, British Columbia.  More recently, they toured Chile as guest artists of the Semanas Musicales Frutillar Chile music festival.  Palmer has performed several times in Kansas at Chamber Music at the Barn and in Colorado with Lake City Arts as well as performances throughout the Texas Panhandle.  Palmer is currently the President of the Lake City Arts Board of Directors as well as the Artistic Director of their Chamber Music Series, a series originally founded by his father more than 40 years ago.  David has collaborated with the Atlanta ATL Symphony Musicians in a performance of the complete Bach, Brandenburg Concerti. More recently, Palmer partnered with Bulgarian violinist Rossitza Goza, in performances of the complete cycle of Beethoven violin sonatas.
