Principal Tuba
Jeremy has been performing with the Symphony for 13 years. He began his musical training by learning the euphonium when he was 12 years old. He went on to graduate with bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in tuba from Texas Christian University, Indiana University, and Texas Tech University, respectively.
Jeremy says about the tuba, “I love the expansive, rich, enveloping sound. I also love that mastery is an unending process. I’m constantly finding new techniques and ways to play.”
In addition to playing with the Amarillo Symphony, Jeremy teaches tuba at the WTAMU School of Music, performs with the brass quintet Brass West, and maintains an active musical presence on the internet. He loves spending time with his family, staying active, coffee roasting, and reading.
