Bringing our back-line trumpets to the front, we’re thrilled to have Bill Takacs and David Lough present the double trumpet concertos of Manfredini and Vivaldi. Keeping the doubled theme, soloists Annie Chalex Boyle on violin and pianist Daniel del Pino will perform the intensely paced Mendelssohn, Double concerto for violin, piano and strings, with Lubbock Symphony Orchestra conductor David Cho! Cap off this wonderful concert of the new year with works of Britten and Handel, where David will charm us with the harpsichord!
A pretalk hosted by HPPR begins at 6:45, followed by the concert at 7:30.
