Substitute String Auditions will be held in Lubbock, TX on Friday, August 23 from 9 AM – 3 PM in the TTU Music Building, Room 214. To schedule an audition time, please send a one-page resume (email/PDF preferred) to the Director of Operations (firstname.lastname@example.org) no later than Wednesday, August 21, 2019. Candidates are free to perform either from the Amarillo Symphony or TTU/LSO audition excerpt lists.
Section Auditions will be held in Amarillo, Texas on Saturday & Sunday, August 24 & 25, 2019. All audition candidates must register for an audition with the Director of Operations no later than Friday, August 16, 2019. To reserve an audition time and receive an audition packet, please send your current resume and a $50.00 refundable deposit (make check payable to Amarillo Symphony) to:

Should an audition result in additional openings within a section, the Audition Committee reserves the right to name a winner for the vacated seat based on the auditions heard for the posted vacancy. In the event that the Audition Committee deems that two or more candidates are artistically comparable, the Amarillo Symphony reserves the right to use information concerning an applicant’s distance from Amarillo and season availability to determine the winner of an audition.
