Young Artist Project
To date more than 46 students have benefited from this innovative project.
In 2012, the Amarillo Symphony Guild began a program to provide private music instruction to gifted young musicians who would not otherwise be able to afford it. In the spring of each school year, area Band and Orchestra directors are invited to identify and select potential scholarship candidates and provide them with the current Young Artist Project application. The student submits the application along with a personal letter explaining why they wish to be considered for private music lessons to their music director who then submits the application and his/her letter of recommendation to the Guild. Applications are reviewed by a selection committee which includes Guild members, the Executive Director of the Symphony and an Amarillo Symphony musician. We invite you to join us in this exciting project by supporting the Guild and its fundraising efforts.
To date more than 46 students have benefited from this innovative project.
