ASYO Youth Symphony
A high-quality full orchestra experience to some of the most talented young musicians in the Panhandle
Tuition: $110/Spring 2021
Dr. Guglielmo Manfredi, Conductor
The Youth Symphony serves some of the most talented young musicians in the Panhandle. This prestigious group rehearses and performs music selected from the standard professional orchestral repertoire. The Youth Symphony propels the Amarillo Symphony’s mission of training young musicians to prepare them for a collegiate orchestral experience and beyond. Admission for all students is by audition only.
Rehearsals are held weekly on Sunday afternoons (through the academic year) with split ensembles ranging in times from 1:30-3:15 p.m. at the Amarillo College Music Building, Washington campus, with a culminating semester concert at the Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts.
To meet the Amarillo College COVID-19 protocol, rehearsals have been reduced with conductor, Dr. Guglielmo Manfredi, and ASYO coaching staff. For specifics, please view the 2020-2021 Youth Symphony Rehearsal Schedule.
Member musicians are expected to be active in the school music program that complements the student’s instrumental focus in ASYO. We wish to enhance, not replace, school programs. Please view the Required Signatures form.
