FALL 2026 AUDITIONS
ASYO is a performance-based program focusing on the continued training & development of student instrumentalists from around the Texas Panhandle.
Fall 2026 Audition Dates
Friday, August 28, 2026 ♪ 4:30-6:30 pm
Monday, August 31, 2026 ♪ 4:30-6:30 pm
Auditions will be heard LIVE at the Amarillo College Music Building!
All times will be first-come, first served, and registrations will be handled in the order they are received.
IMPORTANT
Q: Do I need to complete an audition for the 2026-27 season?
A: If you land in one of the categories below, YES.
- Students brand-new to ASYO auditioning for Sinfonia, Philharmonic, or Youth Symphony (Preparatory Strings is not an auditioned ensemble);
- ALL students wishing to participate in the Youth Symphony, ASYO’s top ensemble;
- Prep. Strings, Sinfonia, and Philharmonic students aiming for a higher ensemble.
(Ex: Prep. Strings to Sinfonia / Sinfonia to Philharmonic / Philharmonic to Youth Symphony)
NOTE: Prep. Strings, Sinfonia, and Philharmonic students returning from Spring 2026 wishing to return to the same ensemble simply need to SIGN UP, then SHOW UP to the first rehearsals.

2:45-5:00 pm – Philharmonic
Monday, September 14, 2026
4:30-6:15 pm – Sinfonia and Preparatory Strings

TO AUDITION
Download the appropriate audition materials and submit an online Student Registration form (links below).
Registrants will receive a confirmation email from Amarillo Symphony Education staff with a scheduled audition time; registrations will be processed in the order they are received.
